Position: ESY Physical Therapist
Reports To:Director of Student Programs
Qualifications:
- Current Physical Therapist licensure by the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision.
- Preferred: Minimum one year experience in pediatric physical therapy practice or documented education/training in pediatric physical therapy services.
- Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Position Goal: To provide the related service of physical therapy to eligible students.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and practice on the educational service teams of students served.
- Provide therapeutic interventions in the least restrictive environment with integration of services where appropriate.
- Consult regarding the use of instructional aids adaptations and equipment in the educational environment.
- Provide documentation of services in accordance with guidelines and requirements of the students Individualized Education Plan.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

- Regular Requirements: Stand for extended periods; sit for extended periods/twist at the neck and trunk/bend at the waist/ stoop kneel crouch; lift/move up to 20 pounds; handle objects and tools with hands; repetitive use of fingers and hands.
- Occasional Requirements: Reach with hands and arms overhead above shoulder and horizontally; lift/move up to 40 pounds.
- Visual Requirements: Close color peripheral depth perception ability to adjust focus.
- Hearing /Speaking Requirements: Adequate to exchange information.
