Job Description

* Stipend will be prorated for the remainder of the 2425 school year.

JOB SUMMARY

These teacher leader positions are designed to provide support and assistance toward meeting the performance plan goals at the assigned school. This position may take on different specific responsibilities which are identified in the next section. Individuals who hold a teacher leader position will help facilitate each area listed below and will focus on areas that capitalize upon personal areas of strength while providing input and collaboration with the principal and building teams. In addition the teacher leader will have training opportunities to further develop their leadership skills.

Each building will hire 3 general teacher leaders for theschool year.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a member of the principals school leadership team.
  • Lead to create a positive school culture.
  • Participate in systemic change and transformations that are necessary for school improvement for the benefit of students and improved student achievement.
  • Participate in leadership development opportunities (e.g. CLT planning curriculum implementation Equity Collaborative) as calendared.
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and other stakeholders about school leadership meetings school performance plan goals & strategies for achievement.
  • Lead and Support CLTs: Plan meetings with administrative support; track of building CLT work and progress organize and post assessments calendars data progress etc.
  • Attend meetings trainings and events outside of the regular contract day both in the assigned school and at the district level.
  • Report the progress of the team back to the overseeing administrator and provide data for the school scorecard and SLGs.
  • Assist in the schoolbased initiatives (e.g. RTI CLTs Scorecard instructional practices attendance PBIS).
  • Availability to attend 1.5 days of onsite training in August to help prepare for inservice week Building and District training To be scheduled.

  • Must hold a valid Oregon Teaching License.


COMPENSATION

The compensation begins on the October paycheck.
