Job Description
General Information & Responsibilities
Black Hawk College seeks a parttime/ adjunct instructor to join the Health & Human Services Department to teachClinical/lab Surgical Technologycourses.
Description of Duties
Faculty memberis expected to encourage learning by preparing appropriate syllabi; by developing lectures discussions and other presentations or activities to enhance the students educational experience; develops and executes appropriate methods of evaluating students performance;develops secures and maintains the equipment and other instructional materials essential to the presentation of the classroom material.
Education & Experience
Posess Surgical Technology certification from the NBSTSA.
Have a minimum total of two years of experience either in the medicalsurgical area in an operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology a combination of both within the past five years.

Minimum starting pay for adjunct faculty (as of Fall 2024
Less Than a Masters Degree $693.36 per equated hour
Masters Degree $808.92 per equated hour
Doctorate $866.70 per equated hour
