Join Our Team as a Summer Mental Health Aide at Camp Chewonki!
Are you passionate about supporting youth mental health in a dynamic and naturefilled environment Camp Chewonki is seeking aSummer Mental Health Aideto be part of our Health and Wellness Center (HWC) team ensuring the social and emotional wellbeing of our campers.

Reports to:Director of Health and Wellness Center

Providecompassionate nonjudgmental supportto campers and staff.
Conductdaily wellness checkinsto ensure campers emotional needs are met.
Work closely with ourMental Health Coordinator (LCSW)in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Assist in designing and implementingeducational and skillbuilding interventionsthat promote resilience.
Maintain accurate and confidentialelectronic health records.
Serve as atrusted resourcefor campers and staff helping to create a safe inclusive and emotionally healthy camp experience.
Abeautiful outdoor camp settingwhere youll be an integral part of the community.
Afastpaced and rewardingsummer filled with meaningful interactions.
Working in acamp setting with irregular hoursbut plenty of adventure!
Must pass Criminal Background Check.
Bachelors or Associates Degree in the Mental Health Field (Social Work/Psychology/Education) preferred.
Two years of experience working in a human services related field (e.g. social/behavioral health services special education/education mediation) preferred.
Experience working with children/adolescents in a camp setting preferred.
Experience/training as a Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) Ed Tech Otherwise Mental Health Professional Behavior Analyst Technician or MHRT/C helpful.
Must be able to lift and move up to 10 lb at a time.
Camp activity areas are spread over many acres. Must be able to walk outdoors as needed throughout the camp day and night.
Salary for the full Camp Chewonki season is $5000
