Working Foreman
Gillingham Kent
Full Time Permanent 42.5 Hours per week.
Salary up to 34680 Company Van and fuel card.
With 30 years of delivering marketleading repairs refurbishment fire safety and building maintenance services Mears is trusted to deliver in excess of 6000 housing repairs daily to a portfolio of more thanhomes nationwide.
About the role:
As a working foreman youll be responsible for overseeing the daytoday operations onsite ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. Youll also be supporting the supervisor by managing a small team coordinating tasks and ensuring that everyone is working effectively
- Overseeing the work of laborers and subcontractors to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely
- Maintaining health and safety standards onsite ensuring all workers adhere to regulations
- Assigning tasks to team members based on their skills and expertise
- Acting as a liaison between management and workers ensuring clear communication of project goals and updates
- Managing orders and deliveries of materials and equipment and ensuring they are used effectively
- Addressing any issues or disputes that arise onsite and finding solutions to keep the project on track
- Providing guidance and training to junior team members to help them improve their skills
- Creating work schedules and ensuring that deadlines are met
Role Criteria:
- SOR Experience
- Damp and Mould Experience
- H&B experience
- Previous experience in Social Housing essential
- Provide own hand tools

To drive a Mears vehicle you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
Candidates should be aware that all our roles are subject to relevant DBS/Security checks before commencement of employment.
