Job Description
Staff Management Group is seeking a Forklift Operator for our client in Lyndhurst NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.
Schedule:
- 1st Shift: 7AM 5PM
- Plus Overtime
Pay Rate:
- $20 / hour
Job Summary:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a forklift to load unload and transport materials within a warehouse or industrial setting while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Job Responsibilities:
- Organize product on the yard according to inventory procedures
- Safely load product onto and unload product from flatbeds and box trailers
- Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary orpermanent basis as needed
- Help with pallet restacks
Job Requirements:
- MUST be bilingual (English & Spanish)
- At least 3 years experience operating forklift in an outdoor yard environment.
- Forklift certification
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education training and experience
- Ability to perform routine inspection fueling and preventive maintenance duties (lubrication cleaningbattery change)
- Ability to successfully pass internal Forklift Certification Training and demonstrate safety procedures
- Able to perform job tasks in dusty hot and/or cold working conditions
- Mechanically inclined and has good attention to detail.
- Natural aptitude or skill for understanding working with and fixing mechanical systemsmachines or devices often involving problemsolving and handson skills
- Must have the capability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of armslegs and your whole body bending crouching climbing using steps and ladders pushing and pullingstooping and reaching
