Fulltime Automation Location Olathe KS 66062
The Automation Technician will conduct repair activities on assigned more complex electromechanical products (electrical motors gearboxes and other specific products) both existing and newly to be developed components without supervision. Support customers regarding complex technical questions and machine settings. Contribute to adjustments of test benches so that testing can be done efficiently and as complete as possible. Organize the planning of assigned repair work and delegate tasks to other colleagues
Troubleshooting and modification of Siemens PLC (TIA portal) HMI (TIA Portal) and Drives (TIA Portal). Networking experience
Troubleshooting hardwired systems and print reading (US and European style prints)
Provide expertise to continue the advancement of automated systems throughout a site
Install maintain and inspect workstation and controlsystem installations throughout a facility
Preventative maintenance on all material handling and automated equipment
Undertake emergency troubleshooting to determine problems associated with the machines
Adhere to company policy and health and safety standards
Identifying opportunities to increase efficiency with automation
Ability to be respectful approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
Provide status updates manage expectations and provide support to operations staff
Work with team members and leadership on assigned projects
Minimum 2 years experience in commissioning or maintaining industrial automation systems
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Electrical / Controls / Automation / Robotics / Instrumentation Engineering/Technology
Basic computer skills (Google Workspace)
Strong command of English Language both written and verbal a must
Proficient in Siemens Simatic S7 (Preferred)
Working knowledge of Allen Bradley tools (Rs Logix 5/500/5000 Factory Talk View)
Working knowledge in troubleshooting industrial networks.
Working knowledge in drives (VFD/Servo) issues
Working knowledge in troubleshooting electrical circuits 24VDC to 480VAC)
Working knowledge in troubleshooting controls issues
