Job Description

Job Description
The Department of Chemistry at Syracuse University invites applicants for a tenured Associate Professor position in Medicinal Chemistry. Candidates with innovative research programs in drug design and discovery pharmacology and toxicology novel biological targets and cheminformatics or computational chemistry are encouraged to apply as are those with experience with preclinical or clinical trials of their novel compounds. The candidate will join a growing cohort of faculty in medicinal chemistry and encourages interdisciplinary research that spans multiple departments and colleges. The department is committed to diversity and inclusion in higher education as well as educational outreach in the surrounding Syracuse city community. Responsibilities
Maintain an active externally funded research program. Teach courses in medicinal chemistry or a closely related field at all levels. Supervise and mentor undergraduate graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. Contribute to departmental college and university service.

Qualifications
Ph.D. in Chemistry Biochemistry Chemical Biology Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
