Thats why what started in 2018 as a campus spin-off weve grown into one of Europes leading pre-seed funds backing over 50 deeply technical startups that are reshaping industries from industrial innovation to novel computing. With our second 35M fund now in full swing were adding a FoundersAssociate - Special Projects who will work directly with our partners to set up our third fund generation and other firmwide strategic missions.

The Role
First Momentum is built on the conviction that exceptional engineers will build the future. Our current team reflects this with experts in deeply technical domains. The goal is to mobilise our next generation of fund(s) to propel Europes most ambitious technical founders at the earliest stage but also to push our most critical projects internally and in our portfolio.
To complete this setup we are looking to add a high-agency pacemaker as a Founders Associate - Special Projects: someone with the agency drive and execution skills to turn big strategic ideas into executed reality.
In this youll support and work directly with our founding partners on important strategic initiatives from setting up and raising our next generation of funds to working directly with our thriving portfolio of up-and-coming deep tech champions on special projects/campaigns or co-incubating new ideas for spinoff projects (such as Telura) or other missions.
We work as a distributed team but for the first 12-18 months you will be mostly on-site in Munich to launch our third fund generation and drive high-priority projects with the core team. Once those missions reach steady state the role can shift to more remote work while you stay active in Europes leading tech hubs.
Tasks
Youll be the wingman of our partners and sit at the heart of First Momentums highestleverage projects raising the next fund launching spinoffs and unblocking portfolio companies while communicating fluently in German and English.
- Unlock our third fund generation: drive the LP pipeline support building the data room refine decks and DDQs and be a pillar of the fundstructuring team in close collaboration with our Head of Finance and founding partners.
- Run special missions: partner with portfolio companies to accelerate financing rounds GTM pushes or key hires delivering tangible results in weeks not months.
- Validate and coincubate ventures: test new ideas recruit core teams and step in as launch cofounder when conviction is high.
- Coordinate strategic execution: turn whiteboard concepts into work plans track cross-team OKRs and keep mission-critical tasks on track especially for high-priority projects.
- Own stakeholder communication: craft crisp updates handle inbound requests and represent First Momentum across Europes tech hubs in flawless German and English.
- Sharpen our operating stack: keep the CRM dashboards and playbooks humming so we can move better and faster.
Requirements
What Were Looking For
- You thrive in fastpaced environments and already have handson experience from internships or an early career stint in VC startups consulting or another highintensity setting.
- You bring extreme ownership and high agency to spot problems design a plan and focus on execution.
- You work in a relentlessly structured way are skilled in process optimisation and have a good sense of balancing speed and perfection depending on the challenge at hand.
- Youre a clear concise communicator in both German and English; you can interact with partners the team founders LPs service providers spot-on.
- You learn fast and fancy technical topics; a genuine curiosity for deeptech or hardtech domains is a definite plus.
- Bonus points if youve already supported fundraising rounds or VC deal flow and want to deepen that skill set.
Youre likely a recent graduate or earlycareer professional who already knows how to operate at high speed and is eager to scale that capability with us.
