You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe nationally recognized Medicine in Psychiatry Service (MIPS) division of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester School of Medicine &Dentistry invites applications for a fulltime Internal MedicineFamily Medicine or MedicinePediatrics physician to serve as both a hospitalist physician and an outpatient primary care physician helping to care for the medical needs of individuals with severe mental illnesses using a teambased care model. Physicians work closely with an interdisciplinary team that includes a psychiatrist pharmacist social workers and advance practice providers as well as peer specialists and substance use counselors.
This fulltime position includes an academic appointment with University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry at the rank of instructor assistant or associate professor commensurate with experience and accomplishments and ample opportunities for faculty development within a robust tradition of mentorship. Teaching and clinical supervision of psychiatric residents and fellows medical students and other trainees is an integral part of this position along with involvement in process improvement and program development. The position would be in our Inpatient Medicine in Psychiatry Division and include working a seven day on seven day off schedule.
As part of this role the physician will have a primary appointment with the department of Psychiatry and a secondary appointment with their respective departments of Medicine or Family Medicine depending on postgraduate training.
