Job Duties:
Clinical education effectiveness shall be evaluated and ensured through a schedule of regular visits to the clinical education centers. The clinical instructors responsibilities shall include coordination instruction and evaluation. Clinical instructors shall maintain current knowledge of sonographic and educational methodology through continuing professional development. The responsibilities of clinical instructors shall not be adversely affected by educationally unrelated functions.
Minimum Qualifications:
1 Proficiency in teaching methodology supervision instruction evaluation and guidance:
2 Credential(s) in abdomen OB/GYN and vascular; and
3 The equivalent of two years fulltime professional experience as a general sonographer cardiac sonographer and /or vascular sonographer. Fulltime is defined as a 35 hours per week.
4 Associate of Applied Science degree
Total compensation is calculated on a percourse basis according to the WKCTC part time faculty salary schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
1 Baccalaureate degree
2 Credential in echocardiography (RDCS)
Additional Skills Requested:
Clinical instructors shall possess proficiency in curriculum development supervision instruction evaluation and counseling. They should also possess good communication and organizational skills.
