Occupational Therapist: Temporary Position for Occupational Therapist for MGH eCare implementation September 2015 April 2016.
General Overview: Massachusetts General Hospital is offering temporary paid and health benefits eligible positions for experienced occupational therapists to provide coverage during our electronic health record (eCare) implementation. These will be split positions starting on our Outpatient Service on the main campus and transitioning to our Inpatient Service in January 2016.
MGH eCare OTs will participate in a oneofakind opportunity within an academic medical center. Upon successful completion of this temporary ecare OT program opportunities may exist to transition to a staff OT position.
Qualified applicants MUST:
possess a current MA OT license
be available to begin employment in September 2015
have outpatient and inpatient occupational therapy experience. The desired candidate for outpatients would have had some hand therapy experience/ splinting.
The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills a solid framework in occupational therapy examination/evaluation and proven problem solving skills.
MGH eCare OTs will attend Mass General Hospital orientation and receive clinical orientation & supervision by experienced OT mentors.
MGH eCare OTs schedule will be 40 hours per week (hours between 7am and 7 pm) with weekends and holidays may be required.
Requirements: MA license; Minimum of 12 years of recent occupational therapy experience.
