Employment Status: FullTime

FLSA Status: NonExempt (Hourly)

Work Schedule: 20 hours a week Tuesday and Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. 1/2 an hour lunch) Monday and Wednesday 8:30 a.m. 1:00 p.m.

Reports to: Pastor/Office Manager

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Coordinator oversees the daily operations of Kids Day Out (KDO).
  • Interviews hires and manages KDO/MDO teachers assistants and support staff
  • Conducts monthly staff meetings with KDO/MDO staff
  • Collaborates with staff to research develop and implement curriculum
  • Interacts with parents grandparents and guardians; Maintains a positive relationship with parents grandparents and guardians to ensure a positive and successful school year
  • Responsible for communicating with parents regarding student successes behavior health injury
  • Responsible for Care Welfare Safety and Security of children staff and parents
  • Develops and implements Procedure Manual for KDO/MDO to ensure consistency and quality of services in the event of the coordinators absence.
  • Develops and maintains employee policies and procedures manual to ensure staff awareness of roles responsibilities and duties
  • Schedules staff development and training in: CPR First Aid and classroom management.
  • Develops and maintains current parent policies and procedures manual to educate parents grandparents and guardians of their responsibilities regarding their childs/childrens enrollment in the KDO and/or MDO Program(s).
  • Maintains proper documentation for all enrolled students and staff members.
  • Responsible for the scheduling of tours for incoming parents.
  • Plans school calendar of events.
  • Prepares annual budget for programs.
  • Works closely with front office staff in regards to special events such as funerals deanery meetings etc. which require the use of the Hall.
  • Works closely with Religious Education administration/staff in regards to logistics of equipment in and out of classrooms.
  • Maintains records of all deposits and purchases.
  • Submits monthly purchase orders and check requests for program expenses
  • Responsible for the approval of staff hours and time cards.
  • Communicates with office manager and maintenance staff regarding building maintenance issues such A/C plumbing electrical and general classroom infrastructure.
  • Organizes and implements school fundraisers to help offset program costs.
  • Prayerfully prepares annual retreat for staff to participate in August to start off the school year.
  • Leads daily prayer for staff prior to start of the work/school day.
  • Encourages staff faith formation through bible studies and/or prayer groups.
  • Promotes church community events to KDO


Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diplomas or equivalent required Associates Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Certification in CPR
  • Ability to maintain emotional control under stress.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
