Position Summary:
As a member of the Audubons Development team Manager Engagement Events primary responsibilities include providing planning assistance to colleagues ensuring adherence to Audubons event standards and contributing to the achievement of organizational goals.
The Manager Engagement Events will oversee and/or execute all aspects of assigned events to ensure Audubon standards met goals are reached events run smoothly and a subset of each events participants are identified for donor cultivation and stewardship by other Development team members. Event types include but are not limited to national state or center prospect and cultivation events donor engagement events stewardship events and other events as assigned.
This position reports to the Director Events and Engagement Programs and works with other internal departments such as all Development departments Conservation IT Finance and Legal.
This role is hybrid with priority for the New York City area.

Additional Job Description
Essential Functions:
Collaborate with relevant staff members to define event parameters expectations and establish comprehensive project plans. Facilitate discussions to ensure alignment among all stakeholders on event themes messaging timelines themes and postevent stewardship plan.
Coordinate and advise all aspects of event production including but not limited to Asana templates site setup timelines contract negotiations communications strategies venue selection and logistical arrangements.
Provide guidance and assistance to colleagues on collaborating with development communications for event material development and development operations for event preparation materials and recordkeeping. Travel to scout locations hotels restaurants and ground transportation as needed.
Travel to events to manage them onsite ensuring everything goes as planned and troubleshooting as needed in the moment.
Assist in creating invite lists campaign codes donor tracking and maintaining donor records in Salesforce as necessary. Contribute to the maintenance of the Audubon Events Toolkit to standardize guest experience and content development for events through the Audubon network.
Collaborate with Audubon Development staff leadership center directors and conservation teams to identify potential donors for cultivation and stewardship efforts thereby fostering a sustainable pipeline of supporters.
Plan and execute additional cultivation and stewardship events throughout the Audubon network as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelors degree and a minimum of 5 years experience in planning and executing events and donor engagement strategies.
Professional collaborative and efficient approach to all aspects of position; must be a team player.
Proficiency with MS Office Adobe Creative Suite Zoom and impeccable technical skills including highlevel comfort with event apps sites tools. Cvent certification preferred.
Experience with Asana or similar project management software is required; demonstrated ability to stay abreast of time and effort enhancing tools. Knowledge of relevant digital programs preferred including Slack.CRM experience required. Salesforce experience a plus.
Excellent written and oral communication skills researchsavvy and proficient in internet and resource usage.
Keen eye for proofreading and a commitment to checking work.
Extremely organized and detailoriented approach to work with a commitment to excellence.
Outstanding interpersonal skills as this job requires frequent interaction with diverse individuals.
Ability to create strong relationships both inside and outside the organization and represent the organization in the most effective and gracious manner.
