Under the supervision of the Dean of Creative Arts Design & Media to teach associate degree students enrolled in the Culinary Arts program. Teaching assignments will include laboratory and lecture instruction in culinary arts and various other technical support and elective courses. Related duties include requisitioning food service supplies keeping an orderly and clean food lab classroom management updating and developing student advising and curriculum program assessment program development recruiting students and attendance at department and committee meetings.
Must embrace and demonstrate Standards of Teaching Excellence and the MATC Career Essentials in development and delivery of instruction.

Technologybased Instruction Experience with technologybased instructional delivery systems including SMART symposium interactive touch screen monitors LCD projectors DVD players and/or other classroom technology
Emerging Technologies Experience with emerging technologies (eg. social networking applications)
This position is part of the parttime faculty pool with the start date contingent upon course availability. Assignments and schedule will depend on course offerings and student enrollment needs.
InterviewAs part of the interview process selected candidates are required to prepare a teaching demonstration lasting 510 minutes which may be conducted inperson or online.

SalaryThe starting hourly wage for all parttime faculty is $40 per course hour of teaching. Parttime faculty are also compensated for an additional 45 minutes of time for each hour of instruction to cover office hours and prep time which is equivalent to $70 per hour. This starting hourly wage of $40 an hour is nonnegotiable
