Shift Requirements: Monday through Friday flexible schedules are available.
Your main priority as a Safety Data Scientistwill be to providetraffic safety data analysis and analysis guidance to the Departments Divisions and Districts other state agencies as well as to local units of government across the state. Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:
1 Graduation from an accredited fouryear college or university with a degree in business analytics economics data science statistics mathematics management information systems or industrial management and experience equal to three years of fulltime work in business/data/statistical analytics economic research or data science.
2 All of the following (a b and c):
a. Three years of fulltime work experience in business/data/statistical analytics economic research or data science; and
b. A total of four years of education and/or fulltime experience in business/data/statistical analytics economic research or data science where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university coursework in any field equals one year of fulltime experience.
c. Possession of a professional certificate in data science business analytics or data analytics.
3 All of the following (a b and c):
a. One year of fulltime work experience in business/data/statistical analytics economic research or data science; and
b. A total of four years of education and/or fulltime experience (as described in part a) where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university coursework in any field equals one year of fulltime experience; and
c. A total of two years of graduatelevel education and/or fulltime experience (as described in part a) where twentyfour semester hours of accredited graduate college or university coursework in business analytics economics data science statistics mathematics management information systems or industrial management equals one year of fulltime experience.
4 Current continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes six months of fulltime work as a Data Analyst 2.
