Lonestar Integrated Solutions is seeking an experienced and licensed Power System Studies Engineer to help lead our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of power systems analysis electrical engineering principles and experience in conducting system studies to support the design operation and optimization of power grids and electrical infrastructure. This role requires proficiency in advanced power system software strong analytical and leadership skills and the ability to deliver highquality engineering solutions in a fastpaced environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct or oversee the production of power system studies including load flow short circuit voltage drop harmonic and arc flash hazard analysis as well as protective device coordination.
  • Develop modify and validate electrical system models using industrystandard software tools (e.g. PSS/E ETAP DIgSILENT PowerFactory PSCAD SKM).
  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide technical expertise and solutions.
  • Build accurate models of power systems to simulate and assess the behavior of electrical grids under both normal and fault conditions.
  • Assist and review the development of proposals feasibility studies and project reports.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in power systems engineering and actively contribute to the teams knowledge base.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 57 years of experience in power systems engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of power system studies including load flow short circuit and voltage drop analysis.
  • Familiarity with electrical distribution systems and relevant industry standards.
  • Proficiency in power system analysis software such as SKM ETAP PSS/E or similar tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required infrequently.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50 of the time.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator copy machine and computer printer.
