Westwood Professional Services Inc. is seeking a Survey Intern to join our team. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing highlevel professional services to our clients

• Responsible for assisting the Crew Chief in the operation of a field survey crew
• The major objectives are the quality (accuracy thoroughness meeting regulatory requirements public relations) of work safety and maintenance of equipment
• Must operate equipment maintain safe work environment protect and maintain the equipment and vehicles accurately and efficiently collect field data and locate features
• Record accurate and clear surveying notes
• Requires a lot of walking outside yearround through all kinds of terrain and in extreme heat and cold
• Set wooden stakes and iron rods cut and clear brush trees etc.
• Adhere to the companys Safety Quality Management and Equipment Maintenance policies
• Assisting Registered Professional Surveyors with CAD production survey research boundary analysis easement preparations legal descriptions and computing survey points
• Coordinate and work with field crews and other office staff

• Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments
• Ability to carry survey equipment and supplies in remote rural or urban surroundings
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and walk long distances

• High school diploma or GED required
• Currently enrolled in an associates or bachelors degree program in Surveying Engineering Technology or related area of study
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D for production activities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks project coordination maintain organizational structures and interact with other design services
• Ability to perform in a fastpaced environment that is in a growth mode
• Strong listening writing and verbal communication skills

• Knowledge of ALTA surveys boundary analysis topographic surveys preparation of easement documents legal descriptions final plat preparation construction staking
• Full use of Microsoft Office
• Familiar with GIS processes and terminology
• Prior experience with survey field work
