The focus of the position will be to execute projects within UCCs Project Management and Contract Engineering (PMCE) teams. Primary responsibilities will include technically supporting contact activities within the utility and industrial wastewater treatment markets acting in the role of lead engineer. The role will include vendor equipment selection sales proposal support field service/commissioning support and customer interaction. The Senior Engineer Wastewater Treatment will have demonstrated capabilities in collaborating with others to perform engineering tasks within a team environment. The role may include training and development of UCCs engineering staff in wastewater treatment industry best practices and will also include onsite assignments for customer meetings sampling efforts and wastewater treatment project startup. The Senior Engineer Wastewater Treatment reports to the Senior Supervisor Systems Engineering Wastewater Treatment and has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated capabilities in collaborating with others to perform engineering tasks within a team environment. Work experience with a privately held company will be beneficial.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Engineer Wastewater Treatment will:
- Independently lead the technical of assigned contracts; providing creative solutions to remove obstacles and solve difficulties
- Lead Project Engineering activities including interface with customer subcontracts/partners suppliers and other UCC departments to ensure contract deliverables are met
- Achieve annual contract goals including schedule budget and quality targets
- Proactively work cross functionally with other UCC departments/functions to define and drive actions which maximize customer satisfaction increase UCC profitability and effectively meet common goals
- As required participate in the of UCCs wastewater sampling projects at site and wastewater system startups and ensure adherence to schedule commitments
- Build and maintain technical expertise by staying up to date with current technology and networking with customers suppliers and partners
- Assist with troubleshooting activities in wastewater and adjacent market applications
- Demonstrate UCCs core values

Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor of Science in engineering is required (chemical or environmental)
- Professional Registration (PE License) is preferred
- A minimum of 7 to 10 years of engineering experience in engineering/technology based industrial/utility wastewater environments
- Previous experience in technical leadership for complex physical chemical biological wastewater treatment systems with a strong understanding of treatment processes preferred
- Broad experience covering contract disciplines with a proven track record of successes
- General business acumen

- Ability to walk around power plants/job sites for extended periods

Compensation and Benefits:
Base Pay Range:$105000 to $125000 annual pay based on skills and experience
