Position Title: Culinary Exhibit Lead Rate of Pay: $18.00 per hour Position Purpose: Assists the Exhibit Supervisor or Event Coordinator with exhibit programs including office and administrative support; guides the work of other Exhibit Attendants and installation and teardown of exhibits. This is a seasonal/temporary position not to exceed 122 days. Essential Functions: - Maintains records and files coordinates schedules.
- Assists with correspondence for judges staff exhibitors and/or demonstrators.
- Provides assistance during all phases of the judging process.
- Assists Program Coordinator in organizing awards presentations and ceremonies.
- Assists Program Coordinator in organizing eating contests stage demonstrations etc.
- Aid with competitive Culinary Show including clerking entries assisting judges and recording results.
- Assists with maintaining the cleanliness of Culinary exhibit areas including dusting mopping washing dishes cleaning out refrigerators and discarding of expired food items.
- Guides the work of other employees in the of their job duties.
- Participates in the setup teardown and storage of exhibits.
- Handles telephone calls and customer service as needed.
- Assists in the entry pickup process and returning entries to the public at the end of the event.

- Must be available to start work in early to midJune leading up to the annual OC Fair with availability throughout all of fair Mid July Mid August.
- Must be available post fair in August for teardown.
- Ability to work outside the normal business day/week as demanded by events and programs.
- Computer software skills.
Preferences: - Valid CA drivers license.
- Able to work parttime if scheduled beginning May 6th.
- Culinary background or basic food and food preparation preferred.
- Previous experience with competitions/contests highly preferred.
