Job Description
The Electrical Machine Builder performs a wide range of duties involving mechanical electrical and design tasks related to machine building. This role requires strong handson ability mechanical aptitude and a working knowledge of all phases of the machinebuilding process. The Electrical Machine Builder works closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure equipment and systems meet production needs.
Duties:
Including but not limited to:
- Wire and program systems for machines and equipment
- Provide electrical and mechanical support for new and existing systems
- Operate safely around moving equipment and machinery
- Comply with all safety quality and production procedures
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain a valid Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) license
- Regular and dependable attendance
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Rotate to other positions as needed
- Coordinate and schedule work of project teams
- Lead or participate in project teams and Kaizen events
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
- Pass drug screen vision screen preemployment tests and prework ability screen
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Previous electrical machine building experience preferred

- Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude

- Flexibility and willingness to travel

- Proficient in computer use
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Effective time management and problemsolving skills
- Customer service mindset (internal and external)
- Experience in training or mentoring others
- Programming experience
- Presentation skills
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 100 lbs. at waist level and 70 lbs. at shoulder level occasionally
- Push or pull with up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally
- Generate up to 90 lbs. of grip strength and 15 lbs. of pinch strength occasionally
- Perform repetitive tasks up to 12 hours per day
- Average coordination with both hands continuously
- Stoop kneel squat and perform elevated work occasionally
- Reach frequently and stand continuously; walk frequently during shifts
Work Environment:
- Exposure to noise requiring hearing protection in designated areas
- Seasonal high temperatures and humidity
- Teambased environment with emphasis on concise respectful communication
Progression Requirements:
- All baselevel requirements must be met within two years of accepting the position. Advancement through progression levels is based on demonstrated technical and leadership skills as well as successful completion of required classes and certifications as determined by the progression review committee.
Base and progression levels include courses in:
- Basic and Advanced Motor Control
- Electrical License
- PLC 101 / PLC 201
- HMI 201
- Drives 101
- Sensors 101
- Industrial Math
- Standard & Technical Blueprint Reading
- Measurement Technology
- Mentoring and Training Techniques
- PIV Certification
- Other companyspecified training
