Pulse Healthcare is currently seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist in Hand Therapy to join our clients team in Epsom Surrey. The post is available to start as soon as possible offering fulltime hours for a shortterm contract.
What will your responsibilities be
As a Band 6 Occupational Hand Therapist you will be responsible for conducting activities of daily living (ADL) and functional assessments preparing detailed reports and undertaking home visits to assess client needs. You will liaise effectively with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) and collaborate closely with the Lead Occupational Therapist to support the development and implementation of individual care plans. Additionally you will engage in ongoing professional development and training to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field.
You will also have experience working in a Hand Therapy setting with a good understanding of hand pathologies and their management. Your responsibilities will include working with acute elective and trauma patients as well as those with plastics and rheumatology conditions. You will provide bespoke splints for patients manage wounds and remove stitches where necessary. Additionally you will create personalised recovery and rehabilitation plans for a broad range of hand/wristrelated pathologies manage your own caseload and work closely with the team.
