Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment instruments and materials for experiments and testing.
- Conduct routine laboratory tests experiments and analyses according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Record and analyze data from experiments ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Support senior scientists in research including performing tasks such as sample collection processing and storage.
- Perform quality control checks on laboratory supplies and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Properly label store and dispose of chemicals reagents and biological materials in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of laboratory reports presentations and documentation.
- Manage and maintain laboratory inventory and order supplies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelors degree in biology chemistry or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Prior experience working in a laboratory environment 12 years preferred).
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment procedures and safety regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer programs (e.g. Microsoft Office) for data entry and reporting.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in a life sciences industry laboratory (e.g. pharmaceutical biotechnology medical devices).
- Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and other relevant regulatory standards.
- Handson experience with laboratory equipment such as microscopes centrifuges spectrometers and autoclaves.
