Programmed is currently seeking ShutdownSupervisorswith previous mining experience to join our South Australian shutdown pool.
Successful applicants will have previous mine site or refinery experience with a strong work ethic and demonstrated commitment to safety.
Required qualifications:
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
- Current Nationally Accredited Confined Space & Working at Heights
- High risk qualifications are highly regarded (Forklift Elevated work platform Rigging)
- Mechanical or Fabrication Trade Certificate
Ideal candidate should possess the following qualities:
- Excellent working knowledge of workplace health and safety
Strong Leadership and interpersonal skills - Supervisory experience in the mining industry
- Understanding of standards applicable to working within the resources sector.
- Mechanical aptitude that enables the completion of maintenance and inspection tasks.
- Ability to formulate business emails and quotations
- A proactive and motivated approach while maintaining the ability to work under pressure
- Flexibility to undertake various rosters / sites / locations
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally
- Proficient skills in computers: MS Word Excel and Outlook
Duties include:
- Day to day management and deployment of allocated plant and equipment.
- Resolve day to day on site coordination related issues with the site teams.
- Manage the preparation and delivery of all safety related documentation and ensure this is in place before work starts.
- Manage subcontractors in terms of work scope variations and other contractual obligations
