RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our clients team in Pietermaritzburg. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to take on the responsibility of maintaining and repairing dieselpowered machinery and vehicles in a dynamic and challenging environment. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on diesel engines and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose mechanical electrical and hydraulic issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Replace or repair faulty components and minimize equipment downtime.
- Document all maintenance and repair work accurately.
- Manage inventory and order parts and materials required for repairs.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification or diploma in Diesel Mechanics or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with a focus on heavy machinery or vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Effective troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
