ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND
The Department of Health Services (DHS) Housing for Health (HFH) and Office of Diversion and Reentry (ODR) programs are a cohesive team of clinicians community advocates program administrators and other professionals who collaborate with multiple County departments communitybased service providers cities and other partners to provide housing and critical services to People Experiencing Homelessness (PEH) and those who have previously experienced homelessness. HFH works to meet the needs of people with complex health and behavioral health conditions. ODR provides countywide criminal justice diversion for individuals with mental and/or substance use disorders places them in housing and provides case management and physical and behavioral health care. Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees work both remotely and from the office as needed.
SUMMARY
The Staff Development Specialist designs develops implements and evaluates training for the Comprehensive Health Accompaniment and Management Platform (CHAMP). CHAMP is used by hundreds of community service providers for managing housing benefits advocacy case management and other services. This position provides training to internal and external CHAMP users and collaborates with stakeholders to analyze training needs determine learning outcomes gather content and recommend the most appropriate training modalities.
The person in this position is committed to quality training experienced in IT/software systems training possesses excellent presentation and facilitation skills and the ability to create engaging learning experiences.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university AND Either 1 one year of staff experience with responsibility for conducting training regarding health care programs or 2 one year of experience in the supervision of eligibility determination in a health or welfare agency or 3 one year of experience in the supervision of a patient access unit or 4 three years of experience in the supervision of a large clerical unit in a health or welfare agency. One year of additional experience at the required level may be substituted for the required education on a yearforyear basis.
