Job Description
A very wellrespected commercial construction operation in the Bay Area is actively looking to hire an experienced Project Manager/Estimator (MUST have acoustical ceiling experience). If you are looking for a company who is all about mutual respect and is not interested in micromanagement this could be the ticket! They understand that the employee has expectations just as the company has expectations.
This person will be responsible for estimating/developing estimates for acoustical ceilings within the construction industry. They will be responsible for estimating costs associated with changing of schedules and will also be working/communicating with subcontractors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development of estimates for commercial projects.
- Identification and quantification of project risks and associated risk/contingency cost impacts and clarifications.
- Present estimates to management in the review process.
- Utilize industry best practices for incorporating direct costs indirect costs support cost and overheads into project estimates.
- Support cost estimating tools and databases to ensure estimates are well documented and updated based on project actuals.
- Support process improvement program for tools and metrics to measure cost estimate accuracy manhour estimates to actuals speed accuracy and cost to develop estimates and ensure evolve estimate precision based on historical project estimates vs. actuals.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS for success:
- Strong estimating and analytical skills
- Ability to interpret and analyze financial documents
- Experience with Onscreen Takeoff / Quick Bid or similar estimating software
- Proven experience with project management of commercial construction projects
