Summary
As a Master Scheduler & Planner you will have ownership over the production schedule and inventory processes. This role takes multiple input to develop a production capacity plan and ensures materials are available to execute the plan. This position is critical in ensuring production is run efficiently and customer deliveries happen ontime. Reports to the Director of Operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Builds the longterm production schedule based on yield equipment efficiency labor resources and material availability.
- Sets the shortterm (weekly) build plans.
- Tracks production output to the longterm schedule and communicates shortfalls and adjusted schedule quantities and dates.
- Tracks production shortfalls and advises on details of missed production targets.
- Establishes the schedule for outgoing customer shipments.
- Communicate with various teams and stakeholders to set the weekly production schedule.
- Advises on production capacity for lead time and quantity with the Sales team.
- Owns master data in the ERP/MRP system to ensure accurate planning signals (purchase requests works orders etc).
- Uses MRP systems or other scheduling software to identify purchasing needs and align supply with demand.
- Reviews and approves new sales orders for part number quantity and lead time to ensure they fit into the production schedule.
- Places purchase requisitions to fill MRP demand and production consumables.
- Identifies potential shortages and takes appropriate action to mitigate shortfalls.
- Manages supplier relationships and negotiates pricing and lead time for production components.
Requirements - Has solid knowledge of ERP MRP and scheduling systems.
- Solid understanding of NetSuite ERP or similar system.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Identifies issues and leads the team in problem solving.
- Respectful and relatable to team members with a positive outlook.
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Master Scheduling and Inventory Management.
Benefits - Comprehensive compensation package includes base salary generous RSUs. Salary range for this role is $95000 $135000 annually. The salary will be determined based on the candidates experience knowledge skills and abilities.
