Job Description

We combine scientific methods of discovery and evolutionary engineering principles. This internship will directly support HEKA in developing safety critical software components. This internship is an unpaidtopaid opportunity. Relocation and lodging expenses will not be provided. All interns are subject to a 3week probationary period.
What youll do:
- Directly support engineering staff working on cuttingedge projects and gain handson experience in the development and implementation of software systems
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle
- Troubleshoot debug software issues and propose solutions to ensure the quality and functionality of the final product
- Proactively identify and address any potential risks of challenges in the software development process
- Other duties as assigned
What you need:
- Actively pursuant or recently awarded a Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics Physics or a related discipline.
- Ability and willingness to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance
- Software development experience in Python and/or C/C
- Ability to learn
- Ability to work independently meet deadlines and track processes to completion
- A problemsolving constitution with a curious mind for discovery coupled with selfdiscipline and an intrinsic drive for continuous selfimprovement
- U.S. Citizenship
Nice to have:
- Masters degree in Computer Science or relevant coursework
- Experience in supporting modeling simulation and analysis of space and air domain related problems
- AI/ML experience
- Active Secret clearance
