Job Description Summary
As a Quality Technician at Micron Technology Inc. you will participate in highly agile R&D environment qualifying data center products. This will involve supporting quality engineers on daytoday basis with multiple items checking requirements the implementation of new test software or testing methodologies and tools to facilitate the qualification and test . You will play a critical part in identifying the root cause of qualification failures and the appropriate corrective action. Also responsible to support Quality program/Audit/6S/ESD activities at the site as required.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Maintenance Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Equipment Repairs Calibrations and Maintenance
- Coordinate Entries into Equipment Tracking Interface (ETO)
- Coordinate EHS and ESD Requirements
- Plan and Organize all Equipment Facilitation Installation and Layout for the area
Lab Responsibilities:
- Start the different reliability test flows per Engineering request
- Verify incoming material against tracking system for physical count and accuracy
- Prepare drives/equipment for testing (load board count/secondary debug hardware/drive install)
- Perform bench level testing (drive reformatting/FW loads/debug)
- Pull debug diagnostics from drive (elog/UART/superdm/panic)
- Interpret failure information with QRA and/or Engineering
- Isolate failing components (load board tester program device)
- Recover functionality of drive after testing
- Perform test operation qualification testing and Pretest the drives to ensure functionality
- Daily communication with engineers (drive fails tester issues software issues/needs hardware needs)
- Collect data on failures and accurately record all failures using JIRA.
- Maintain JIRA support by following daily or frequent checks on JIRAs youve filed to ensure we align with requests and that JIRAs are making progress.
Tester responsibilities:
- Understand the functionality of PQEAgent (intermediate HW/SW that supports reliability testing)
- Gather tester debug logs (syslog TLP snap files oven temp logs system logs)
Minimum Requirements:
- Proficiency working with computers
- 2 years of quality/testing experience with computers including hardware and software
- Basic knowledge of tester hardware and functionality
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with a team of engineers
Preferred requirements:
- Twoyear industry related associate degree; working towards a STEM related degree; or equivalent military training and experience
- Ability to understand test results and faults with the ability to debug and troubleshoot as needed
- Basic understanding of tester logs and test flow related to QUAL
- Familiarity with JIRA program
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this fulltime position is:
$25.25 $48.00Our salary ranges are determined by role level and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range individual pay is determined by work location and additional jobrelated factors including knowledge skills experience tenure and relevant education or training.
