Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Preconstruction Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing preconstruction processes and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure project success from concept to contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating budget preparation scheduling and a commitment to high standards and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preconstruction phase of projects including budgeting scheduling and risk assessment
- Collaborate with clients architects engineers and internal teams to develop accurate project estimates and schedules
- Conduct detailed cost analysis and maintain cost control throughout the preconstruction phase
- Manage subcontractor and supplier relationships including solicitation selection and negotiation
- Oversee the preparation of bid packages proposals and presentations
- Provide value engineering suggestions to optimize project costs and timelines
- Review and ensure compliance with construction plans specifications and regulatory requirements
- Facilitate regular preconstruction meetings and communicate project progress to stakeholders
- Support project handover to construction teams to ensure a seamless transition into the build phase
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering or related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in preconstruction estimating or project management in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction processes materials codes and safety regulations
- Proficient in construction management software (e.g. Procore Bluebeam or similar)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to work in a team environment
- Detailoriented with strong organizational and problemsolving skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
