Job Description

Director of Operations Corporate Travel

Job Type: Full Time
Location: Toronto Hybrid
Reporting to: President Globespan Travel Management

The Role:

The position of Director of Operations for Globespan Travel Management (GTM) has been created to address the dramatic growth of the company and scale for the future. Globespans growth stems from developing an industryleading reputation new client acquisitions exceptional customer service cuttingedge technology solutions and an increase in strategic global industry partnerships. We are proud to be the exclusive Canadian TMC partner for USbased Altour (part of the Internova Travel Group) servicing a wide variety of global regional and domestic clients with operations in the US and Canada. Our infrastructure is complemented by wholly owned operations in Manila Vancouver and Los Angeles.

Collaboration with our international Altour agency partners working knowledge of the GDS (predominantly Amadeus) and strong operations and sales skills are essential. This role requires the candidate to have transferable skills and responsibilities covering travel technology connectivity resultsdriven salesoriented entrepreneurial global approach to business client and supplier relations P&L responsibility staff management and bringing best industry practices from previous roles.

This position is designed to support the President of Globespan in all areas of the company with the potential for advancement aligned with the imminent transformative growth going forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Comanage sales and account management teams as well as company marketing and promotional initiatives.
  2. Monitor and manage current and new staff KPIs.
  3. Drive revenue (margins) and overall gross sales by introducing and managing incremental revenue streams.
  4. Work with Operations Managers to ensure agent training and development evolve maintaining the highest levels of customer service revenue generation staff retention and upskilling.
  5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders within our parent company and global strategic partners including supplier relations the VP of Air Finance and our Manila officeand BPO.
  6. Support the Account Management team to promote customer retention ensure SLA compliance client presentations and drive account expansion.
  7. Work with internal teams to enhance automation and expand current AIdriven processes.
  8. Identify new opportunities to improve internal efficiencies and integrate best practices from previous roles.
  9. Establish and maintain positive relationships with airline partners hotels and strategic partners. Experience in supplier client and partner relations is essential.
  10. Develop robust sales reporting methods to create realtime awareness of challenges and opportunities.
  11. Create and manage working budgets and develop business plans.
  12. Implement and oversee new and existing software projects.
  13. Identify and plan the risk management process effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong working knowledge of Amadeus and GDS systems at a high level
  • Superior communication skills both internal and external
  • Working knowledge of MS365 products
  • Analytical and strategic thinker entrepreneurial approach sales and operational mindset technologyfriendly outgoing personality
  • Strong comprehension skills
  • Familiarity with contract negotiations
  • Experience managing a P&L and working to a budget
  • Team player with proven experience in motivating coaching and supervising employees
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills and attitude
  • Conflict resolution and leadership skills
  • Strong comprehension of sales targets KPIs and reporting
  • Comprehension of call center systems and tools
  • Highly organized with strong prioritization skills and the ability to multitask
  • Strong knowledge of current TMC systems and processes
  • Uphold integrity and maintain brand standards
  • Able to identify hidden opportunities
  • Ability to travel
