Additional $10000 Stipend
Grand Forks Public School Districtis seeking a qualified and dedicated School Psychologist to join our team. The School Psychologist will play a crucial role in supporting the academic and socialemotional development of our students. The ideal candidate will have strong assessment and intervention skills a deep understanding of psychological principles and a passion for contributing to the overall wellbeing of students.
Responsibilities:
Assessment and Evaluation:
- Conduct psychological assessments to identify and address academic social emotional and behavioral concerns.
- Interpret assessment results to stakeholders including educators parents and administrators.
Counseling and Intervention:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to address emotional and behavioral issues.
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop and implement intervention strategies.
Consultation:
- Collaborate with teachers parents and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide consultation on academic and behavioral interventions.
Crisis Intervention:
- Respond to and participate in crisis intervention as needed providing support to students and staff.
Professional Development:
- Stay current on research and best practices in school psychology.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Completed no less than a 500 clock hour supervised internship with school age persons.
- Licensed as a school psychologist in the state of North Dakota.
- Nationally Certified School Psychologist through the National Association of School Psychologists.
Valid teaching certificate with one or more special education endorsements.
