Salary: Starting at $51.50/hour increases depending on years of experience
Centurion is proud to be the provider ofcomprehensive services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. We are currently seeking a Fulltime Regional Infection Control Registered Nurse (RN) to support our Western Administration Regional Team housed in Maryland Correctional Institution Hagerstown (MCIH)located in Hagerstown Maryland.
The Regional Infection Control Coordinator (RN) develops and updates policies and procedures related to infection control with current standards of practice rules and regulations in collaboration with healthcare clinical leadership. This person ensures the infection control practices of all staff are in accordance with policies and procedures and ensures compliance with isolation techniques and procedures to control the spread of infectious diseases. This person works closely with healthcare staff laboratory staff security staff and state and local agencies in prevention and control of infection. He/She also works in conjunction with local state site medical and custody leadership in the event of an outbreak to control and contain additional spread of disease.
Qualifications
- Active RN license to practice in Maryland
- Minimum of two years of experience working in a public health or acute care setting with a focus on Infection Control
- APIC Certification (CIC Certification in Infection Control) preferred
- Experience working in corrections preferred
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in CardioPulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
- Ability to obtain a security clearance to include drug screen and criminal background check
