Job Description

Position Summary
The Department of Physical Therapy Education in the College of Health Arts and Sciences at Oregon Institute of Technology is announcing a search for a fulltime 12month Director of Clinical Education to assist in the development and implementation of a new Doctor of Physical Therapy Program built on a polytechnic foundation. We are currently seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to join our team as the Director of Clinical Education. This individual will primarily be responsible for the initial development and ongoing maintenance of the clinical education components of the program including clinical site partnership development development of student site selection procedures and development of integrated clinical experiences. The successful candidate also will have the opportunity to shape the future of the program during the development phase by assisting with overall curricular design and development of curriculum relevant to their content area of expertise. The Oregon Institute of Technology is a public polytechnic university in Oregon with a residential campus in Klamath Falls Oregon an urban campus in Wilsonville Oregon and additional locations in Salem and Seattle. Were Oregons only polytechnic university emphasizing technical subjects and applied sciences. The university offers a rigorous experiential education that allows students to pursue their passions and professional opportunities in internships externships and field experiences. The Doctor of Physical Therapy is a joint Oregon Institute of Technology and Oregon Health & Science University OHSU program that will provide a comprehensive entrylevel and postbaccalaureate DPT education with the unique focus of preparing high quality graduates with the skills to become practitioners of choice and leaders in rural physical therapy practice. The preferred start date is start no later than June 1 2021.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as a DCE as well as evidence of an ongoing or developing record of a scholarly agenda. Ability to demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students and ongoing scholarship.
