Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced High Voltage Protection Engineer to design analyze and test protection systems for highvoltage electrical systems. This role requires expertise in power systems protection electrical safety standards and handson experience with power conversion systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and optimize protection systems for highvoltage electrical systems.
- Perform power system studies (e.g. short circuit analysis protection coordination arc flash hazard analysis) in compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct electrical testing on highvoltage equipment in accordance with industry standards ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Perform failure analysis and validation for power converters products.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to enhance system reliability safety and performance.
- Document system designs test results and compliance reports providing regular updates on project milestones.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Power Systems or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years in power system protection with handson experience in highvoltage hardware design and testing.
- Expertise in protection design and coordination for highvoltage systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical protection devices and safety standards
- Proficiency in power system simulation tools
- Handson experience with energy systems .
- Strong problemsolving attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in crossfunctional teams.
- Ability to thrive in highpressure environments while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
Pay Range (Applicable to California)
$190000.00 $210000.00 dependent on level of experience
