Job Description
July 1 2025 (all staff) 8:30 am 3:00 pm with hour unpaid lunchParaprofessional Hours: 8:45 a.m. 12:15 p.m. Monday ThursdayStudent Hours: 9:00 a.m. 12:00 p.m. Monday ThursdayFUNDING: Rate of Pay: $18.02 per hour with no benefits not to exceed a total of 79 hoursClassroom experience in this area is preferred.Preference will be given to candidates possessing previous Westfield Public School Summer Program experience.RESPONSIBILITIES:1.Ability to communicate and work successfully with staff and all students2.Help prepare for activities in the classroom3.Familiarity with early childhood/elementary interventions and Positive Behavioral Interventions & Support (PBIS) 4.Support small group work according to levels of language acquisition and cognitive development5.Provide oneonone assistance when needed6.Walk students back and forth to designated areas for scheduled activities7.Join students for breakfast and lunch8.Assist with arrival and dismissal of students.9.Assist in communication between student and teacher when needed.10.Attend field trips.11.May be assigned to more than one classroom.12.Perform any duties that may be assigned by the Administrator of Special Education.This position subject to funding.
