Job Description
Join the Canacre team in an exciting role working on leading edge infrastructure projects.
We are technical experts in land energy and transportation development delivering accurate innovative and agile solutions to our partners. We provide land acquisition geospatial mapping data management webbased GIS community relations land feasibility studies and permitting services. Canacres clients include developers large scale service providers and government entities that are involved in the planning and development of energy projects rights of way resources and infrastructure across Canada and the United States. Canacre works on largescale wind and solar power projects highvoltage transmission lines pipeline projects municipal roads projects and groupings of cellular towers and rooftop antennas.

The Technical Writer will plan write and edit operating procedures to improve program and project management related processes. The Technical Writer supports the administration and continuous improvement of Canacres processes through document management and administration assessment reviews and audits.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the development of quality control plans for departments
- Maintain index of document version history for all documents placed under document control
- Assist with the development and editing of Canacre documents (e.g. policies processes guidelines etc. to align with strategic objectives
- Assist with formatting of Canacre documents (e.g. policies processes guidelines reference documents manuals templates forms templates etc.
- Develop detailed project/work plan templates flow charts and track progress
- Proofread and edit upon request documentation created by various departments within the Company according to resource availability and time constraints
Perform other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Bachelors degree specializing in English Business project management quality management or related field.
- Minimum 3 years experience as a technical writer
- Previous experience in consulting or construction industries is considered an asset
- Programming or MadCap skills considered an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of quality management systems and processes
- Excellent attention to detail
- Highly motivated individual with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite: Excel Word Outlook Visio and Teams
