Job Description
Our mission
We are looking for an enthusiastic and communicative Data Engineer (m/f/d) to join our BI team in a hybrid work model in our Berlin headquarters.
Our team of 7 Data Engineers ensures that datadriven decisions power our operations. By collaborating closely with data scientists pricing analysts and business stakeholders we build scalable solutionsusing the latest Google Cloud technologies todrive performance optimization. Our mission is to provide reliable efficient and costeffective data infrastructureleveraging the most advanced GCP tools and services tofuel innovation across the company.
Your mission
- APIbased Data Flows: Automate and manage REST API imports/exports for BigQuery including both streaming and batch ingestion.
- Airflow & Pipeline Orchestration: Maintain and optimize our Kubernetesdeployed Airflow environment ensuring efficient DAG .
- EventDriven Processing: Manage GCPs resources as Eventarc and PubSub for eventdriven workflows and integration with various services.
- Cost & Performance Optimization: Optimize BigQuery slot usage autoscaling and query performance.
- Reliability & Security: Implement monitoring logging and access controls to ensure data reliability and security.
Our Tech Stack
- Data & Processing: BigQuery Airflow
- Infrastructure: Kubernetes GCP (Eventarc Pub/Sub Cloud Run)
- Programming: Python for API integrations automation and pipeline development
- Security & Cost Optimization: IAM Policy Tags encryption BigQuery slot reservation management
Your profile
- Several years of experience in data engineering working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and modern data stack tools (GCP experience is a musthave)
- Strong Python skills for API integrations automation and data pipeline development
- Proven experience with BigQuery cost optimization and performance tuning
- Familiarity with eventdriven architectures and realtime data processing
- A proactive problemsolving mindset with strong collaboration skills
- Fluent in English and excellent communication skills for discussions and code reviews
