The Marketplace Associate provides excellent Partner experience through professional courteous and friendly interactions. This position works in a fastpaced warehouse environment safeguarding and promoting the Foodbanks commitment to service and safety. Primary responsibilities include weighing marketplace product organizing restocking and consolidating marketplace product filling orders for the Direct Distribution and Marketplace deliveries and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Hourly Rate: $18 per hour; MF 7am3pm Job Responsibilities: - Assist partners in weighing marketplace carts
- Facilitate marketplace process by keeping partners moving monitoring timeliness and personal limits etc.
- Work with distribution staff members in restocking consolidating and organizing products in the marketplace
- Fill marketplace orders for the pantry direct distributions POP and marketplace deliveries
- Monitor time/ temperature issues and communicate to warehouse staff and supervision when products need to be replaced/ restocked
- Keep the market place clean and safe at all times by cleaning up products on the floor and removing all safety hazards (e.g. trip hazards)
- Keep order in the marketplace while maintaining a professional and positive attitude
- Work with the Safety Manager on product recalls ensuring the food is safe for distribution
- Ensure all products are properly labeled with ingredients and that there are no open packages or possible expired products within the marketplace
- Act as a backup for loading partner orders on the distribution dock
- Perform other duties as needed
Required Qualifications (knowledge skills abilities competencies): - High school diploma
- 13 years in a customer service role
- Must be able to follow all American Institute of Baking Feeding America Food and Drug Administration United States Department of Agriculture Occupational Safety Hazard Administration and Foodbank (standard operating procedures and employee handbook) safety regulations
- Commitment to outstanding customer service
- Ability to resolve conflict in a positive way
- Ability to problem solve
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively and patiently with a diverse group of individuals including Foodbank staff and agencies
- High level of interpersonal skills is required
- Ability to produce quality work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to operate or be trained to operate a pallet jack or tow motor ; must pass OSHA testing for lift truck operation
- Warehouse and dock experience preferred
- Punctual dependable and flexible to work overtime as needed
- Ability to maintain accurate records or metrics
