Job Description

Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking a All Levels of Navy ERP Financial Management Analysts to provide functional expertise in Navy ERP financial processes reconciliation and compliance in support of a Department of the Navy Financial Management Office. This role focuses on financial transaction management funds and reconciliation within Navy ERP (SAPbased system) to ensure accurate financial reporting compliance with DoD regulations and alignment with financial management best practices.
The analyst will play a key role in financial operations process optimization and system enhancements working with program offices fund holders and financial analysts to improve transaction accuracy resolve financial discrepancies and support financial reporting and compliance initiatives.
This is an opportunity to support the Department of the Navys financial management mission by enhancing financial reporting reconciliation and compliance within Navy ERP. You will play a critical role in financial oversight ensuring data integrity and driving process improvements to support Navy financial operations.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Oversee and support fund obligations disbursements and reconciliations within Navy ERP to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Assist with funds distribution periodend close processes general ledger reconciliation and financial reporting functions to ensure data integrity and compliance.
Perform financial reconciliations to resolve mismatches in obligations expenditures and funding balances ensuring compliance with DoD Financial Management Regulations (FMR).
Identify opportunities to enhance financial workflows improve reporting accuracy and streamline system processes to minimize financial discrepancies.
Collaborate with financial managers program offices and system administrators to ensure effective financial management within Navy ERP and resolve complex financial issues.
Assist in responding to financial audits internal reviews and external reporting requirements by ensuring accurate financial documentation and reporting.
Support endusers by providing guidance on Navy ERP financial processes best practices and compliance requirement

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

315 years of experience in Navy ERP financial management funds and reconciliation.
Strong understanding of DoD financial regulations funds control and fiscal law compliance.
Experience working with Navy ERP modules such as Funds Management General Ledger and Procurement.
Experience in Navy ERP modules including Sales and Distribution (SD) Materials Management (MM) Financial Accounting (FI) Controlling (CO) Funds Management (FM) Inventory/Warehouse Management (IM/WM) Workforce Management (WFM) and Project Systems (PS).
Familiarity with financial reporting audit preparation and Navy ERP system enhancements.
Familiarity with DON processes and procedures including financial systems and feeder systems.
Experience with and understanding of applicable US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for Federal Agencies including authoritative sources such as FASAB OMB Circulars GAO Handbooks and the Treasury Financial Manual.
Experience validating large financial datasets/transactions from financial and feeder systems to the General Ledger system.

Skills & Competencies:
Expertise in financial transaction management funds distribution and reconciliation within Navy ERP.
Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
Knowledge of financial process improvement and automation within Navy ERP.
Effective communication and stakeholder collaboration skills for engaging with Navy financial teams.
