Our Directors are responsible for executing daily operations and keeping team members accountable for each component of Operational Excellence and our Recipe for Service. A Directors two main areas of focus are completing tasks so that the restaurant runs effectively and coaching/developing team members. Directors lead by example and set the tone that others will follow.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Provide strong leadership and guidance to the back of house team including team members trainers shift leaders and back of house managers to ensure smooth operations and consistent food quality.
- Food PreparationandProduction:Oversee the preparation cooking and presentation of menu items according to ChickfilAs highquality standards and specifications.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels ordering and storage of ingredients and supplies ensuring optimal stock levels while minimizing waste minimizing food cost and labor. As well as optimizing productivity Key Performance Indicators.
- Kitchen Operations: Maintain a wellorganized kitchen environment including equipment maintenance cleanliness and compliance with food safety regulations.
- Menu DevelopmentandInnovation: Collaborate with the certified trainer and training manager to deploy and train about new menu items limitedtime offers and seasonal specials that align with ChickfilAs brand and customer preferences.
- Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to consistently deliver exceptional food products and uphold ChickfilAs taste and presentation standards performing to performance standards.
- Cost Control: Monitor and manage kitchenrelated expenses including food costs labor costs and waste reduction to meet budgetary goals while maintaining food quality.
- Collaboration:Work closely with FOH staff including the management team and FOH Team members to ensure seamless coordination and exceptional guest experiences.
- ComplianceandSafety: Ensure compliance with local health department regulations food safety standards and ChickfilAs operational policies taking necessary actions to address any violations or concerns.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work in a staff position if needed stepping in to support kitchen operations and provide handson assistance.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a culinary leadership role preferably in a fastfood or quickservice restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations food preparation techniques and food safety practices.
- Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team in a fastpaced environment.
- Proficiency in inventory management cost control and kitchen organization.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Familiarity with ChickfilAs brand and values is desirable.
- Relevant culinary certifications or education is a plus but not always required.
