FPGA Engineer Cambridge Salary to 90000
A cuttingedge startup in Cambridge is seeking a skilled FPGA Engineer to design optimise and deliver highperformance systems for ultralow latency trading infrastructure. Join a dynamic team driving innovation in one of the most demanding and rewarding sectors of technology.
Role Overview
- FPGA Development: Design and implement FPGAbased solutions for highspeed trading systems.
- System Optimisation: Analyse performance bottlenecks and implement lowlatency improvements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with hardware engineers software developers and trading specialists to build fully integrated systems.
- Testing and Debugging: Conduct rigorous testing to ensure reliability and peak performance in live environments.
What Were Looking For
- Technical Expertise: Strong experience in FPGA design and development (VHDL/Verilog) and proficiency in tools like Vivado Quartus or similar.
- LowLatency Knowledge: Familiarity with lowlatency systems highspeed interfaces and protocol optimisation (e.g. Ethernet PCIe).
- ProblemSolving Skills: Ability to diagnose and solve complex technical challenges.
- Relevant Education: Degree in Electronics Computer Engineering or related field (Masters or PhD preferred).
- Bonus Skills: Knowledge of C/C or Python for hardware/software integration and experience with financial trading systems.
