The Intensive Language Institute (ILI) at the University of Miami is seeking to augment and diversity its pool of part time lecturers for part time teaching on an asneeded basis. The ILI is particularly interested in interactive and motivated English Spanish French Italian and Portuguese language instructors who are comfortable working in a diverse environment on a flexible schedule.
Selected candidates will follow curriculum provided by the department and/or develop appropriate materials exercises and tests for assigned classes; demonstrate the ability to adapt to new techniques and situations required by the teaching assignment; demonstrate knowledge of instructional technology applied to classroom language pedagogy; attend all required meetings; assess students performance; meet responsibilities and deadlines for recording progress reports and grades provide evaluations recommendations and any other input requested regarding student performance.
Qualifications and experience include: Bachelors or Masters degree and 23 years of teaching experience in the target language.
