JOB SUMMARY
The Government Sales Representative will be responsible for establishing developing and maintaining business relationships with current and prospective customers and optimizing the customer service experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS
  • Provide salessupport to new and existing accounts by understanding the customers business anticipating their future needs and becoming their primary supplier.
  • Maintain frequent contact with government agencies to develop new opportunities as well as attend trade shows.
  • Plan travel and maintain accurate records including expense reimbursement and other documentation as needed.
  • Analyze territory/market potential and determine the value of existing and prospective customers value to the Company.
  • Make inbound and outbound calls while achieving the minimum daily contact requirements
  • Maintain vast product knowledge to emphasize product features and benefits quote prices discuss terms and prepare sales order forms and/or reports.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the departments effective operation.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be willing to travel a minimum of 50 within territory.
  • Strong sales presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas.
  • Knowledge of firearms or shooting/hunting outdoor experience.
  • High level of integrity and strong work ethic.
  • Law Enforcement and/or Military background a plus.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Able to lift carry and transport heavy sample cases and trade show materials.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP (preferred).
  • Willing to undergo and pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Bachelors degree is preferred or an applicable combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years traveling sales experience preferred.Top of FormBottom of Form

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. The employee will be required to bend twist reach push pull and operate office machinery. The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Specific work assignments may change without notice.
The majority of work will be performed in a climatecontrolled environment but the employee may be exposed to outdoor conditions such as inclement weather and varying degrees of temperature.
Schedules will vary depending on business needs.
