Job Description
Hire Resolves client is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Chargehand to join their mining team based in Mpumalanga.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate electrical maintenance activities in the mining operation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
- Plan and schedule work assignments for the electrical team.
- Oversee the installation repair and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
- Perform inspections to identify and address potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment used.
- Train and mentor electrical technicians.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- N3 Certificate in Engineering Studies.
- Electrical Trade Test Certificate
- 5 years experience working in a coal mine.
- Flameproof and Gas Testing Certificate
- Medium Voltage Certificate would be advantageous.
- Experience/Knowledge on the following equipment: EMIS belt Drivers 66KV & 22KV switching feeder breaker Shuttle car & Fletcher roof bolters 12HM31 JNAII and switch gear.
- Valid drivers license.
