ABOUT THE ROLE
We re seeking an experienced Electrical Technician ready to transition from fieldwork to the classroom. As an Electrical Technician Instructor you ll have the opportunity to mentor and guide students pursuing careers in the skilled trades. Your hands-on knowledge will be the foundation for their future success.
This is a full-time position with day and/or evening class options a healthy work-life balance and a comprehensive benefits package.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver hands-on lab instruction and classroom lectures using established curriculum
- Maintain detailed lesson plans and contribute to course development
- Provide timely feedback on student assignments (within 48 hours)
- Offer academic support during scheduled office hours
- Monitor classroom equipment and supplies
- Participate in faculty meetings and committees
- Support other instructors and provide coverage when needed
Requirements
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
- 5 years of hands-on electrical trade experience
- Passion for teaching coaching and mentoring
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Eager to contribute to student growth and program excellence
- Open to feedback and continuous improvement
Teaching experience and industry certifications are a plus but not required.
