Working night shift this role is responsible for assisting with the safe effective efficient and responsive service delivery to customers. With a focus on operational performance and driver compliance.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Highly effective planning organising and problemsolving skills together with the ability to support in the leadership motivation and coordination of night shift operation
Liaising with drivers to monitor progress and assist with the management of delays/changes etc. that will impact freight movements fatigue etc.
Relationship management conflict management and resolution. Demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks and maintaining focus on priorities.
To liaise with customers and coordinate resolution of issues arising in a timely and effective manner.
Customer reporting.
Determine acquire and allocate resources to ensure efficient logistics operations.
May be required to load and unload trucks with forklift
Monitor inbound and outbound freight for arrival and departure delays/on time
Booking Driver accommodation
Manage and coordinate equipment breakdowns
To be successful in the role you will possess the following attributes:
Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or equivalent workplace experience. (Desirable)
Chain of Responsibility and Fatigue Management qualifications.
Demonstrated industry experience in transport logistics or supply chain operations.
Demonstrated success in people management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Must have a forklift licence with previous experience.
MC licence would be preferred but not essential. (desirable)
