Job Description

Role & Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (technology team project teams) and external stakeholders (external technology licensors) to lead the development of the basic engineering package for assigned project (greenfield project / revamp project)
  • Review the documents shared the by technology licensors to ensure they are complete and meet the Reliance guidelines and standards
  • For assigned projects ensure basic engineering package is complete with all details and deliverables (for example: compressor data sheets PFDs PIDs heat and mass balance etc) and all details / inputs required for detailed engineering phase are available
  • Provide inputs and support on the estimation and allocation of engineering resources (engineers) across projects to ensure adherence to project standards (timelines budget quality)
  • Handle interface issues with Offsites and Utilities team as applicable.
  • Lead process engineering team in developing Basic Engineering packages (BEP) for inhouse commercialization of R&D Technologies
  • Lead the development of FEED package in which critical parts of the process plant are further developed (for example: developing the thermal design furnace process design);
  • For assigned project lead the development /critical review of the detailed engineering design for pump hydraulics compressor control critical network development etc. and ensure proper hand over of this package to the detailed engineering phase
  • Provide support and inputs in the Identification of opportunities for value engineering (for examples how to optimize process configurations how to reduce plant capex etc. and lead the implementation of these across multiple projects
  • Interface with Offsites and Utilities team
  • For assigned project; Ensure quality and safety standards & codes are followed across the life cycle of the project
  • Lead the identification and implementation of improvement initiatives for own projects (quality or safety related)
  • Record all Lesson learnt and value creation items for reference to future projects
  • Ensure documents are issued without any error


Education:

  • Bachelors/ Masters degree in Chemical Engineering


Experience:

  • 1215 years of experience
