Job Description
Perform set up and operation of CNC Mill machinery in order to prepare metallic and nonmetallic parts required in the production of inflatable packers and downhole tools or other products offered to TAM customers and other clients.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Setup and operate CNC machinery in all phases of operation to run first article parts and/or to proof new programs ensuring quality product throughout the production run.
- Primary duties Include working on new product programs including ensuring production readiness for new launches which includes:
- Review blueprints drawings specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of part/product sequence of operations and/or set up requirements.
- Measure mark and otherwise indicate the dimensions and reference points on the part or material to be used as guides for subsequent machining.
- Select align and secure the holding fixtures cutting tools attachments accessories and materials on machines to include mills lathes and grinders.
- Calculate and set controls to regulate various machining factors such as speed feed coolant flow and depth and angle of cut.
- Start and observe machine operation to detect any malfunctions or outoftolerance machining and adjust the machine controls or control media as necessary.
- Verify conformance of finished part to ensure that it meets specifications.
- Confer with production personnel engineers or others to resolve machining or assembly issues.
- Perform daily maintenance duties and/or notify supervisor of any equipmentrelated issues that may require attention.
- Maintain clean and orderly work area.
TOOLS EQUIPMENT AND MACHINES:
Ability to work under a minimum of supervision. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings as they pertain to machining of inflatable packers or related downhole tools. Must have own tools adequate to perform job.

Education/Experience
Requires oneyear certificate from college or technical school or minimum of five years related experience and/or training.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write and/or complete routine reports.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest commissions proportions percentages area circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.
